Artūrs Liepiņš is a latvian pianist born in 1995 in the city of Talsi in Latvia. He began his musical education at the age of 7 in music school of Talsi with the teacher Ilze Vaice and during this time was a laureate in various Latvian solo and chamber music competitions including Alfreds Kalnins piano competition, Marupes chamber music competition and National chamber music competition
Later studied in Jazepa Medina 1. Music school in Olgas Moskalonovas class and in Jazepa Vitola Latvian academy of Music at J. Kalnciems and J.Zvikovs classes. Participated in Latvian academy chamber music competition with Viktorija Zukova. Currently is studying in Masters degree in Barrat-Due institute of Music with Michael Endres and in Ingesund school of Music with Mikael Canarva.
Has participated in the masterclases of such profesors as Eliane Reyes, Alexei Lebedev, Victor Rosenbaum and Diana Ketlere. Other than piano playing is composing contemporary academic music and is an active advocate for classical piano music in the region of Talsi.
